Reviews of Medical History and Medical Records
(Return to Services)
IAS Board Certified specialists provide meticulous analyses and in-depth reviews of a patient's medical records and other pertinent materials. This service may be used as a stand-alone opinion or as an essential component for assisting in a diagnosis, scheduling an evaluation, or determining whether previous medical or psychological care met recognized professional standards.
Second Opinion Medical Review
This service is provided to private patients who seek to clarify a diagnosed medical or psychological condition. A meticulous review of relevant medical records and analysis by a team of IAS specialists provide reassurance, direction and a better understanding of possible evalution or treatment options.
Legal Case Reviews
IAS forensic services provide significant insight into cases of personal injury, liability, medical malpractice, competency, elder care, disability, wrongful death, discrimination, workers' compensation, matrimonial and criminal proceedings. In litigated matters, IAS specialists thoroughly review medical, accident, employment and other records prior to evaluation.
Peer and Utilization Reviews
In many liability, medical malpractice and workers' compensation cases, issues frequently arise related to the appropriateness and reasonableness of medical care. When a patient is not improving despite extensive treatment, an IAS utilization review may assist in obtaining more effective medical or psychological care.
Peer/Utilization Reviews include the collection, cataloging and summarizing of medical records, analysis by 2-3 Board Certified Specialists, a written opinion as to the reasonableness and necessity of treatment, as well as consultation with attorneys, insurance professionals and doctors.
